When I graduate and become a teacher, I want to become a second grade teacher. This means I will have to teach math. Students like to learn in all different ways, and teaching math in a way that accommodates all my students can be tricky. I can create a survey to send to my students asking them how they feel about math, their favorite way to learn math, and how they can understand it in a way that makes them feel confident. As a teacher, one of my main goals is to make sure my students succeed, especially in a subject like math.
Reviewing my classmates blogs, I learned a lot reading Re's blog journal 9. I learned what OER's are and how students use them to gain access to textbooks they may otherwise not be able to afford. Reading Kylee's blog, I learned that Pinterest is a web 2.0 source. I also learned through her blog is what CPALMS is. CPALMS is a website that is mainly used by educators to find resources and classroom benchmarks that students can follow to ensure they are meeting the grade requirements.
A technology-related skill I would like to learn next is how to prevent virus's on my computer. I feel like this is a very important skill to have to because virus's can do terrible things to your computer. I honestly might have a virus on my computer right now, and I want to learn how to get rid of it myself without having to bring it into Apple. I can learn how to do this by doing research on virus's and watching video's on things like YouTube to tackle this myself and prevent it in the future.
